Regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your overall health and wellbeing. Routine physical activity can reduce the risk for many chronic diseases, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, certain types of cancers, and more. Regular exercise may also control your weight, strengthen your bones and muscles, lengthen your life expectancy, and boost your mental health.Before you begin a new exercise program, complete our free pre-exercise health assessment. Once completed a health care professional from Sports Med Utah will contact you. We can help you determine which factors increase your risk for exercise-related illnesses or injuries. We encourage you to share your results with your primary care physician before beginning a new exercise program.
